For over 100 years, The Sentinel-Record has been Garland County’s most trusted source for the stories that matter. When a community has a strong, independent local newspaper, it’s not just informed – it’s connected.
Like many newspapers across the nation, The Sentinel-Record has felt the financial pressures of a rapidly changing media landscape. Because of changes that have affected the newspaper industry as whole, there’s a gap in funding for in-depth local reporting. That’s why we are launching The Sentinel-Record Community Journalism Project — a dedicated effort to expand local reporting and ensure no important story goes untold.
Donations fund costly, time-consuming work like in-depth investigations and dedicated coverage of critical local issues such as education, health and government accountability. Your support will also help us celebrate local voices and preserve the stories that make Garland County unique.
Our family has been committed to the Sentinel-Record for generations because we believe a strong community depends on strong local journalism. But its future ultimately depends on you. Together, we can ensure this newspaper remains a trusted voice for many years to come.
